PTI blazes a trail with novel use of artificial intelligence

The PTI used AI to clone Imran Khan’s voice for a virtual event, where he addressed the audience while being in prison. The audio clip, played over archival footage, combined Mr. Khan’s original voice at the beginning and end with a computer-generated voice in between. PTI’s social media focal person, Azhar Mashwani, explained that the software identified the voice and replicated the message in a similar tone.
