The Peshawar High Court (PHC) expressed displeasure at PTI lawyers’ tardiness during the hearing of a writ petition against the revocation of the party’s ‘bat’ symbol and nullification of its intra-party polls. The ECP had revoked PTI’s electoral symbol, citing failure to hold intra-party polls according to its constitution and election laws. Despite the PHC’s suspension of the ECP’s decision, the high court later restored the revocation. The PHC hearing led to delays as PTI lawyers arrived late, prompting dissatisfaction from the court. The matter is also scheduled for a Supreme Court hearing on January 11.
