Only seven percent of the production orders for missing people, issued by the Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappearances, have been implemented, according to a report submitted to the Supreme Court. The report revealed that out of 744 production orders, only 52 have been executed. The province-wise breakdown indicated that 73 percent of the cases where orders were not implemented belonged to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Commission, which has a disposal rate of over 77 percent, highlighted that it consumes at least Rs2.2 million in monthly salaries alone.
