In the first two months of 2024, police cracked down on 300 illegal gambling sites and arrested nearly 500 people


Between January 1 and March 3, 2024, the Ministry of Interior cracked down on 300 illegal gambling sites across 19 capitals and provinces, resulting in the detention of 496 individuals. Touch Sokhak, Deputy Spokesman of the Ministry, reported that legal action was taken in 69 locations across 15 capitals and provinces, involving 194 suspects. This included one illegal online game and arrests in various gambling activities. Additionally, administrative measures were taken in 231 locations across 10 capitals and provinces, involving 339 individuals, through education, instruction, and contractual agreements to cease activities.
