Ministry of Environment supports Chinese investment in Cambodia’s environmental sector to move towards cleanliness

Eang Sophalleth, Minister of Environment, welcomed the Chinese investment in Cambodia’s environmental sector to move towards cleanliness, greenery, and sustainability in accordance with the environmental chakra strategy of the Royal Government of Cambodia, the 7th legislature of the National Assembly.

The Minister’s remark was made during a courtesy call and discussion with investors from China who wish to contribute to the environment sector at the Ministry of Environment on May 8, 2024.

The Minister thanked and supported China’s investment in Cambodia in the field of environment, especially the recycling of waste and plastic waste, which will be able to provide many benefits to the Cambodian people in line with the campaign to reduce plastic bags with the participation of more than 8 million students and people.

In addition, not only Chinese investment, the Ministry of Environment supports all investments that aim to make Cambodia clean, green, and sustainable.

Cambodia’s cleanliness is due to the cleanliness in the minds of every citizen and the cleanliness around them—no garbage, no plastic waste—which is the source of infection and affects public health.
