PML-N set to hold power show in Pindi sans Nawaz, Maryam

RAWALPINDI: With elections are just a little over a week away, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is all set to show its power on in Rawalpindi on Saturday (today) with a jalsa at historical Liaquat Bagh, but without its supreme leader Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz.


The PML-N is holding a public meeting in Rawalpindi, but Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz will not attend, causing disappointment among workers. Former PM Shehbaz Sharif will address the meeting. The party aims to regain its stronghold in the city, which has shifted to PTI. Despite workers’ desire for Nawaz and Maryam’s presence, PML-N’s election cell says they will visit soon. Strict security measures and traffic plans are in place for the event.
