Defective dumplings impounded

The General Department of Consumer Protection, Competition and Anti-Fraud (CPC) has revealed the discovery of banned chemicals in a batch of dumplings weighing 20 kilograms, sold in Phnom Penh.

Analysis conducted by experts confirmed the presence of prohibited substances in the sampled dumplings.

During an inspection operation, professional officers identified a total of 60.76 kilograms of defective, expired, and non-compliant goods, along with 1.2 kilograms of infringed products.

All non-compliant items were confiscated by the officers and are currently being held at the branch for further procedural actions.
