Minister of Interior instructs the General Department to continue to pay attention to further reforms

Sar Sokha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, instructed all General Departments under the Ministry of Interior to continue to pay more attention to the reform work for the efficiency of each unit.

On the occasion of presiding over the celebration of the 79th anniversary of the establishment of the Cambodian National Police on May 16, Sar Sokha praised the tireless efforts of the National Police Force and the high level of patriotic conscience in effectively implementing the laws, regulations, and principles set by the Royal Government and Ministry of Interior.

The Minister of Interior was also advised to continue to pay attention to the work of reform, as this work has provided an opportunity for the organisation to make real progress, the decentralisation and deconcentration reform, which has the goal of empowering sub-national administrations to respond to practical needs at the sub-national level.

Sar Sokha said, “This year may be over, but I would like to maintain the warmth and strong trust of all the general departments to continue to pay attention to the reform, and I am 100% sure that the reform is the only tool, the only opportunity that we avoid hitting the wall.”

Taking that opportunity, Sar Sokha also announced his high commitment to continue to promote gender in society as well as work in the armed forces. He said that next year, the number of women who can join the armed forces will be even higher.
